According to a new Gallup survey, one of the main reasons Americans cite for not planning to get vaccinated is the belief that they're protected since they already had COVID-19.
From the beginning health authorities have urged survivors to get the broader protection vaccination promises. While the shots aren't perfect, they are providing strong protection against hospitalization and death even from the delta mutant.

COVID-19 vaccine inequity: Inside the cutthroat race to secure doses
No one disputes that the world is unfair. But no one expected a vaccine gap between the global rich and poor that was this bad, this far into the pandemic.
Inequity is everywhere: Inoculations go begging in the United States while Haiti, a short plane ride away, received its first delivery July 15 after months of promises - 500,000 doses for a population over 11 million. Canada has procured more than 10 doses for every resident; Sierra Leone's vaccination rate just cracked 1% on June 20.
It's like a famine in which “the richest guys grab the baker,” said Strive Masiyiwa, the African Union's envoy for vaccine acquisition.
In fact, European and American officials deeply involved in bankrolling and distributing the vaccines against coronavirus have told The Associated Press there was no thought of how to handle the situation globally. Instead, they jostled for their own domestic use.

Netherlands - Calvinists: In the Netherlands, traditional Calvinists refuse vaccines and social distancing
In the Netherlands, Protestants make up around 16 percent of the population and a small group of traditional Calvinists are opposed to vaccination and social distancing. Most of these believers, who live in a region known as the "Bible Belt", were never vaccinated as children and are opposed to the idea of injecting sickness into a healthy body. Despite surging case numbers, they continue to attend Sunday services without face masks. But amid some of the country's highest Covid-19 infection rates, some of them are starting to shift their mindset. Our regional correspondents report.

EU -Vaccines - Oxford/AstraZeneca: Spain joins France, Germany and Italy in pausing Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine
France, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia and Cyprus announced they will stop administering the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine pending an assessment by the EU’s medicine regulator. Spain said it will stop using the AZ vaccine for at least two weeks.
The benefits of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine in preventing Covid outweigh the risks of side effects, the European Medicines Agency said in a statement. The World Health Organization (WHO) has said there is no proven link to blood clots and that people should not panic.

EU: In Europe Union, vaccines from Russia and China are now under study - by Loveday Morris
As the European Union's vaccination program stumbles, Russia and China are poised to fill the gap — with Moscow opening talks to produce vaccines in the heart of Europe and both building political cachet as they supply those scrambling for shots on the bloc's fringes.
Vaccines produced in Russia and China are already on the program in parts of the Balkans and Eastern Europe outside the European Union.
Speaking to the Atlantic Council on Thursday, Macron called China’s vaccine efforts a “clear diplomatic success” which is “a little bit humiliating for us.” He and German Chancellor Angela Merkel have expressed their openness to using vaccines from Moscow and Beijing if E.U. regulatory approval is granted.

Mercury in Vaccines: Anti-vax group defends comparing immunisation withThimerosam additive to rape
In a press release issued recently, one
that almost no mainstreain Australia m media sources have bothered to report, it was
announced that Dr. Brian Hooker had finally received documents from the
CDC through a Freedom of Information Act that revealed the CDC had
access to data linking Thimerosal in vaccines to autism, non-organic
sleep disorders, and speech disorders.
Two members of Congress helped Dr. Hooker
draft his letter to the CDC, after having spent nearly 10 years
submitting over 100 Freedom of Information Acts to no avail.
This information is very damaging to the CDC, which has stated for years
that there are no studies linking the mercury of Thimerosal in vaccines
to autism.
In another recent testimony given by the CDC in the November 2012 Congressional
Hearing on Autism, they claimed there are no studies linking
Thimerosal to autism. Thimerosam however is still used today in the flu shot
that is administered to pregnant women and infants.
An
Anti-vaccination group in Australia has defended an advert which
appears to compare immunising children with being raped.
The Australian Vaccination Skeptics Network posted an image of a woman
with a man threateningly holding his hand over her mouth on its Facebook
page earlier today.
This information, so far, has been completely blacked out of the mainstream media.
